Everyone who registers gets free passes to Adventure Reef Water Park, an event tee, and food and more! This is a perfect way to start your holiday weekend and to support those brave men and women who serve our country.

Festival is Open the Public
This event is open to the public and tickets to the Family Festival and the Adventure Reef Water Park will be sold at the door for $5 each or families get in for $15. Concessions will be sold, plus there will be kids games, activities & inflatables, music, health and fitness expo and more! Registered athletes are free!

Running Races & Walking Events:

  1. Participants can run or walk our events, and each race will be chip timed. You can save money and choose not to be timed by the system. All ages welcome!
  2. Race include a 1-­Mile, 5k (3.1 miles), 10k (6.2 miles) & The Beast (all 3 races for 10.3 miles)
  3. All races are on paved paths & roads around the Kettering Recreation Complex and the City of Kettering.

  7. Registration, and the Start and Finish Lines will be at the Kettering Recreation Center Complex, 2900 Glengarry Dr, Kettering, OH 45420
  8. All runners must have completed all the courses by 8:30pm.
  9. There will be 1 aid station with water on the 5k course, and 2 aid stations with water on the 10k course.
  10. All turns will be marked with cones and signs, please review the course in advance.
Social Bike Ride 
Due to issues beyond our control, we are canceling the ride ONLY portion of the event. The runs are still a go! If you would still like to ride, you can follow the designed course. Please note, that this would be on your own, without support from the Run, Ride, Remember Event. We will not be marking the course, so you are on your own. You can use the map below to guide you. You are still invited to join us for the festival and would be subject to general admission fees. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Awards can be picked up at the registration table once results have been posted. Results will be posted on itsyourrace.com which is also where you registered for the event. We will be making award announcements throughout the night as well. 

Adventure Reef Water Park & Post Race Party (Open to the Public)

All registered athletes will get free admission to Adventure Reef Water Park and the Post Race party, which includes the water park, VIP food and drink, children's games, activities and inflatables, expo and much more! This event is open to the public, and they can purchase tickets to the Post Race Party and Adventure Reef Water Park on the day of the event for $5 each or families get in for $15. In the event of inclement weather, our Post Race Party will be indoors. The indoor pool will also be open. 

Race Shirts
  1. Men’s Cut, Women’s Cut & Kids Sizing
  2. Adult shirts will be short sleeve performance tees; kids shirts will be 100% cotton.
  3. To be guaranteed a race tee, you must register at least 1 week before the race date.

The Beast 3­-Race Challenge & Super Beast Prize

The Beast 3-­Race Challenge is only for the strongest, bravest, and most daring athletes among us! To complete the beast you must finish all 3 races (1­-mile, 5k & 10k) in one day, inside the designated times. Time Cut Offs for the Beast: You must finish each race inside these max times:

  • 1­mile = 20 minutes

  • 5k = 40 minutes

  • 10k = 90 minutes

To become a Super Beast and get a Super Beast Hoodie you must complete 3 of our 4 Beasts (in the 2016 calendar year). Here are your choices:

  • Pancake & Resolutions 1­-mile, 5k & 10k (January)
  • Family Fun Run Festival 1-­mile, 5k & 10k (May)
  • Super Underwear Run 1­-mile, 5k & 10k (August)
  • Love Run Relay Solo 8  or 10-­miler (4-5 x 2 mile laps) (October)

FREE Kids Run Clinic & Kids Fun Runs: We will be hosting FREE kids fun runs and a FREE kids run clinic. The fun runs will be on short (approximately 25m-­400m) and all ages are welcome! Ribbons will be given to all kids who participate; these fun runs will not be timed. The kids run clinic is for parents (and kids) who want to get their kids more involved in the sport of running. A local running expert will address some of the following topics: age graded training, safety, gear, and other topics related to kids running. All ages welcome!

Costume Contest: Racing is more run in costume! So, dress up and express yourself around the race theme. The best costume(s) will win prizes. The costume contest will be at 5:45pm and our FREE photo booth open at 5:45pm too!

Professional Photography & FREE Photo Booth:?W?e will have a professional photographer out on course to take your pictures while you race. Then after your race you can pose with your friends, family and team at our FREE photo booth. We will post all pictures on facebook after the race for you to like, tag and share!

Emergency Contingency Policy & Plans: Races and events will be held unless race management, in consultation with local safety officials, determines that race conditions are too dangerous. Every effort will be made to conduct the race and to ensure the safety of all participants. Events may be held in the rain or snow or if there is snow on the course, so please prepare in advance. If the race is cancelled there will be no refunds. This position is consistent with USAT & USATF recommendations and with the protocol of sharing the risks associated with the sports of running, biking, swimming, triathlon, duathlon, aquabike and aquathon. Each athlete must accept any such risk for their entry fee paid including other amenities paid for such as t­shirts, insurance, and online administrative fees. All fees collected are used to develop and produce the event, including all race supplies. In the event of inclement weather, Acts of God, or unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to alter, cancel or eliminate any/all portions of the race. The following procedure will be followed:

  1. The race director in consultation with local safety officials will make the final decision to delay, adjust or cancel the race.
  2. The decision will be posted on the website, in social media and communicated at the race venue via the PA announcing system.
  3. In the case of an emergency please dial 911. Volunteers will be instructed to contact 911 in the case of an emergency.
